Sashiko Level 2: Exploring Patterns

On 7 November, 13:00–15:00, join us for a relaxed and hands-on workshop where we explore the world of Sashiko patterns. We’ll learn how to read, understand and follow different traditional Sashiko patterns, as well as different ways to draw them and transfer them onto fabric. You’ll explore different tools and techniques and discover how patterns can be adapted, combined and made your own. Using a combination of hand stitching and sewing machine techniques, you’ll turn your chosen patterns into four Sashiko coasters to take home. You can use the same pattern on all four, mix different patterns, or create your own combination, it’s completely up to you. Come for two relaxed and creative hours with calming music, coffee, tea and good company. Take your time, stitch, experiment and enjoy the process. All materials and equipment are provided. We are offering two workshop sessions in October, with only 10 places per session. Choose the session that suits you best, or join both if you’d like to explore even more patterns and techniques.
